Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum: Ever heard of the Ohio Livestock Coalition?
For years, and still to this day, agriculture is the number one contributor to Ohio's economy ($98 billion). Farming provides nearly one million jobs, or one out of every seven jobs in Ohio. What might be lesser known is of the 75,000 farms across the state, about half have livestock - making Ohio one of the larger states in this industry.
Livestock expert, David White, executive director of the Ohio Livestock Coalition (OLC), will present Ever Heard of the Ohio Livestock Coalition?. Established in 1997, the OLC assists Ohio's livestock industry in expanding its positive contributions to Ohio and is committed to advancing environmentally friendly, socially responsible and economically viable livestock farming practices while providing safe and affordable food.
