Legendary opera star Marilyn Horne visited the University of Toledo taking part in a Master Class with vocal students.
Horne actively teaches vocalists around the world. She performed regularly for many years with the Metropolitan Opera and also appeared in major opera houses around the world. She was a Kennedy Center Honoree in 1995 and is a recipient of the National Medal of Arts.
Lena Miller is a Music Education Major. She has played the roles of Mrs. Gobineau in Menotti’s The Medium and Speranza in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo with The University of Toledo Opera Ensemble.
