Description
An acclaimed maker of contemporary and traditional Anishinabe black ash baskets, Kelly Church comes from an unbroken line of basket makers going back countless centuries. In this presentation, she shared the tradition of black ash basketry, the effects of the Emerald Ash borer, and current work being done to sustain the tradition.
The presentation was held at the Toledo Museum of Art.
