International Day of the Girl-Dr. Fitzpatrick

October 11 marked the International Day of the Girl by the United Nations. The day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face while promoting girls' empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights.

This year Young Women of Toledo partnered with Toledo American Association of University Women (AAUW) to celebrate International Day of The Girls.

Dr. Angela Fitzpatrick spoke at the event. She is the director of the Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women.

The event was held at The University of Toledo.
