The Maumee Film Festival celebrated the art of creativity, filmmaking and storytelling. It allowed aspiring filmmakers the unique opportunity to see their work projected on a movie screen in the Maumee Indoor Theater.

Independent Filmmaker Ben Dupris shared his experience working for VICE, Disney, and HBO. Ben is an enrolled member of the Colville Confederated Tribes. He was a 2017 Sundance Institute producer’s fellow, The Redford Center Recipient, a Fellow at Concordia Studio and an artist in residence at Blue Mountain Center, NY. He also spent several months on the ground during the occupation at Standing Rock, North Dakota where he worked with the Executive Alliance of Boys and Men of Color to bring the social justice issues of Native American people to the forefront.
