At the University of Arizona, Dr. Marx has led the College of Education to envision and enact an innovative teacher preparation program that is integrally connected with community schools PK-12 as well as with out-of-school learning environments. Prior to his appointment as Dean, he was a faculty member at the University of Michigan where he conducted extensive research utilizing a project based methodology to teach science.
