The Way Library, in cooperation with the League of Women Voters of the Perrysburg Area (LWVPA), welcomed Roger W. Minier, Ph.D., of the Northwest Ohio Educational Technology Foundation (NWOET).
Dr. Minier gave a presentation on the Common Core State Standards Initiative. Dr. Minier discussed “Common Core History – K-12 Testing and Beyond”, explaining how Common Core content standards were developed, how those standards relate to K-12 student testing, and what the future may hold for educational goals in Ohio.
Dr. Minier has over 12 years classroom teaching experience, and earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Toledo. He has served as Executive Director of NWOET for the past 12 years.
