Description

Legendary opera star Marilyn Horne visited the University of Toledo taking part in a public discussion of her career and life in music with UT Opera Ensemble director and Assistant Professor of Voice Denise Ritter Bernardini, and to conduct a Master Class with vocal students.

Horne actively teaches vocalists around the world. She performed regularly for many years with the Metropolitan Opera and also appeared in major opera houses around the world. She was a Kennedy Center Honoree in 1995 and is a recipient of the National Medal of Arts.
